Bathurst - Mrs. Lillian Couture, 79, of Couture St., Bathurst, wife of the late Henry Couture, died Saturday (January 17, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Macrina (Hachey) Aubie. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Henry Couture, in 1975. She is survived by: 1 Daughter Joan Ann O'Neil (James) of Bathurst 1 Son: Cletus Couture (Marilyn) of Cap Breton, NS 3 Brothers: Harold Aubie (Isabel) of Scarborough, ON Ronald Aubie of Saint John, NB Raymond Aubie of Sault Ste Marie, ON 1 Step-daughter: Rita Aubie of Bathurst 1 Sister: Priscilla Doucet (Eloi) of Bathurst 3 Grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a step-son; Arthur Couture, a step-daughter; Modeste Legacy, brothers; Thomas, Doran and Clifford. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (January 21, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
