Blair Alexander Johnstone passed away peacefully at his residence in South Tetagouche, NB, on Feb. 15th, 2004, at the age of 79 years.
He was the eldest of 5 children born to Charles Melvin Johnstone and Ruby (Haviland) Johnstone of Douglastown, NB. He is survived by his youngest brother, Ian Johnstone, of Boston, Mass.
Blair was an avid outdoorsman, a jack of all trades and master of most. After serving his country in active service in the Navy in WWII, he joined the CNR for which he worked until his retirement in 1982.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Jean (MacFarlane); his son, Chuck Johnstone and wife Claire (Doucet) and their daughters, Michelle and Danielle, of South Tetagouche, NB; his son Ken Johnstone and wife Eliane (Dumaresq) and their daughters, Laura and Lyndsey and son Jeff, of South Tetagouche, NB; his daughter, Debra 'Blue' Wright and husband Peter Wright, and their son, Oakly and daughter, Aja, of Horsefly, BC. He will also be fondly remembered by remaining family members and friends.
At his request, his remains were cremated and a private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
