Bathurst … Mrs. Evelyn May Holland, 88, wife of Geoffrey, of Victoria Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
Born in Horley Surrey, England she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Emma (Peake) Turner.
May was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, St. George's Anglican Church and a member of the organ guild. She enjoyed mostly being with her family, doing crafts and was an avid reader.

Teresa (Lloyd) Goodmurphy of Schreiber, ON;
Flora (Christian) Mallet of Shippagan;
Bonita (Roland) Blanchard of Pokemouche;
Two sons;
Theophil (Ginette) Gionet;
Francis (Majella) Gionet, both of Shippagan;
One step-son:
Sylvain (Diane) Gionet of Pigeon Hill;
11 Grandchildren: Susan, Wayne, Ritchie, Justin, Rudy, Mylène, David, Nicolas, Francis, Yves and Luc.
5 great grandchildren;
She was predeceased by her first husband; Wilfred Gionet,a sister; Joyce Wood and her other relatives in England.
A memorial service will be held 3 PM Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. George's Anglican Church, King Ave. No flowers please. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst.
