Bathurst - Alban Doucet, 87, of University Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (November 15, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Charles and Lorretta (Doucet) Doucet.
He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army. He worked for the Armories and was a Bartender at the Bathurst Curling Club.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Dorina (Sivret) Doucet in 1998.

He was pre-deceased by a brother; Ignatius, and sisters Lorette LeBlanc and Rita Jennings.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (November 17, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Bathurst. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Alban may be made to the Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
