Bathurst - Mrs. Lucy “Toots” McGaugh, 74, of Millhaven Ct., Bathurst and formerly of Canobie, wife of the late Eugene McGaugh, died Monday (February 23, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Canobie, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vera (Peters) Ellis.
Lucy worked in Montreal for several years when she met and married Eugene. They moved to Canobie shortly after. She was employed by W.J. Kent & Co. Ltd. and Henry Rodgers Ltd. for many years.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Eugene in 1983.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Ivan.
The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Friday (February 27, 2004) from the Funeral Home Chapel at a time to be announced.
