Bathurst - Walter Roy, 88, of St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (June 12, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Doucet) Roy. He worked as a labourer for most of his life. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Lina (Chamberlain) Roy. He is survived by: Three sons: Stephan (Jeannette) of Green Point Donald (Marie) and Wayne (Corey Griffith) both of Bathurst One daughter: Sandra Roy (Jean Pierre Frenette) of Bathurst Three brothers: Martin and Théophile both of Bathurst George (Theresa) of Sussex Two sisters: Yvonne Couture and Annette Roy both of Bathurst 5 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (June 15, 2009) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
