Bathurst - It is with great sadness that we the family wish to announce the death or Mrs. Evelyn Melanson, 87, wife of the late Arthur Melanson of Clearwater Avenue in Bathurst, passed away on Friday July 24, 2009 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Godin and Emma Arseneau.
She was pre-deceased by her husband; Arthur in 1999 and her son; Robert in 2007.
She is survived by:
Four daughters;
Julie Lagacé (Gilbert) of Allardville,
Patsy Lavigne (Harvey),
Betty Ross (Phil King),
Linda Melanson all of Bathurst.
One brother;
Wilfred Godin of Ontario.
Two sisters;
Rita and Martha from Ontario.
7 granddaughters and 8 great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.
