Sister Jeannette Léger, rhsj
Sister Jeannette Léger, rhsj passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the infirmary of the Notre Dame de l’Assomption residence of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St. Joseph, Vallée Lourdes Dr., Bathurst at the age of 88, in her 64th year of religious community life.
Born in Edmundston, NB, she was the daughter of the late Napoléon Léger and the late Laura Haley.
Sister Léger was the last living member of her immediate family.

Yvonne (late Roger Léger) and many nieces and nephews, cousins whom she dearly cherished.
She is survived by six brothers, Louis-Bertrand, Napoléon, George, Roger, Charles, Jacques and six sisters, Catherine, Marie Ester, Marguerite, Pauline, Elmire and Elaine.
Sister Léger entered the order of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St-Joseph
on October 11, 1944 and as taken her vows to the order on September 6, 1946.
Sister Jeannette has worked in various hospitals of the order such as the Hotel Dieu in Perth Andover, NB, Hotel Dieu in Saint Basile, NB and Sanatorium St-Joseph in Saint Basile, NB as a radiology technician and also in the laboratory and pastoral service.
Sister Jeannette was a missionary for many years in Peru and Dominican Republic.
With her multiple talents, Sister Jeannette as contributed too many projects of her community.
Visitations for Sister Jeannette Léger will be from 14h Thursday October 15, 2009 at the Notre de l’Assomption Residence, 2144 Vallée- Lourdes Dr. in Bathurst.
There will be a Prayer Virgil, Friday October 16, 2009 at 10h45.
Funeral Mass will be from the Religieuses Hospitalières Chapel, Friday, October 16, 2009 at 14h.
Visitations hours are Thursday from 14h to 21h and Friday from 9h until time funeral.
