Bathurst - Donna Spence, 49, of Spring Cres., Bathurst, passed away at her residence after a lengthy illness on Tuesday (December 1, 2009). Born in Green Point, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Eliza May (Goodwin) Spence. She was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Order of the Eastern Star, Bathurst Chapter of the NB Scottish Cultural Association and member of First United Church, Bathurst. She is survived by: Two brothers: Terrance Spence (Joyce) of South Tetagouche Harvey Spence (Julie) of Big River Two sisters: Doris Alexander (late William) of Big River Lois Haché (Jean-Paul) of Green Point Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister; Marjorie. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon (December 4, 2009) at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
