Bathurst - John Simmons, 58, of Brideau Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (January 5, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Edmond Simmons and Ada (Gionet) Simmons. He was an employee of Lounsbury’s Furniture in Bathurst. He is survived by: Five brothers: Ronald (Jill) of Calgary, AB Robert of Prince George, BC Wayne (Yvonne), of Bathurst Dale (Dany) of Oakville, ON Clinton (Judy) of Pabineau First Nation, NB Two sisters: Linda (late Jean Robichaud) of Pokemouche Barbara Ann (Steven Garrett) of Bathurst Numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother; Elmer. The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (January 9, 2010) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
