Bathurst – Laurent “Joe” Vienneau, 74, of Twin Lane, Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (January 20, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness with cancer.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Lydia (Vienneau) Vienneau.
He worked for the CNR for 15 years and then at Brunswick Mines for 31 years before retirement. He was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club.

Two sisters:
Isabelle Landry (late Alexis) of Bathurst;
Emerentienne (Lou) Gerard Boucher of Bathurst;
1 grandchild:
Jessica (Gino Hachey) Vienneau;
1 great granddaughter:
Coralie Blanche Hachey;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Henry.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 4 PM from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home.
