Dunlop - The death of Fraser M. Peddle, 74, of Dunlop, passed away on Wednesday (February 24, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Roy and Frances (Sopher) Peddle.
Fraser came to reside in Bathurst with his wife Barbara and his three children; Bruce, Janet and Andrea.
He was a former employee with the Metropolitan Stores and Eddy Hardware. He later began his own business as a general contractor and worked until his retirement.
He was an active member of Bayview Baptist Church where he served on various Committees & Boards and was a valuable asset in the Music Ministry there, member of the Atlantic Baptist Senior Citizen Home Inc. and served on the Board of Miramichi North Shore Association Council of Church's.
Fraser is survived by his wife; Barbara (Lefurgey) Peddle and

Alan both of Sydney, NS
Three sisters:
Margaret Campbell (Duncan) of Sydney, NS
Eva Gillis (David) and
Carol Peddle, both of St. Albert, AB
One son:
Bruce (Victoria) of Shubenacadie, NS
Two daughters:
Janet Peddle Zuters (Kim) of Orleans, ON
Andrea Peddle Alexander (Gary) of Pickering, ON
Seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces and nephews.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be greatly missed as well by his many friends, neighbors and extended family.
He was pre-deceased by his twin brother; Foster, his sisters; Joan Shaw (John), Ruth Carmichael (George) and sister-in-law; Linda (Alan).
He enjoyed many hours of quilting and his beautiful blankets continue to warm many.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday (March 1, 2010) at 2 p.m. from Bayview Baptist Church, O'Neil Dr., Bathurst. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. At request of the family, due to allergies, no floral arrangements. Donations in memory of Fraser may be made to the Bayview Baptist Church, Gideon’s International, The Lung Association or a favorite charity.
