Bathurst - Antione “Tony” Tanos, 88, died peacefully on March 7, 2010 surrounded by those he loved. He was the son of the late Joanna and Stefanos Tanos. He is survived by his wife Anita (Hachey), his children Stephen of Vernon, BC and Carol (Catherine) of Kingston, NS. Born in Montreal, he is the dear brother of Alexandra Lapointe (Maurice) of Montreal, and Helen Kapsimalis (late Peter) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He is predeceased by his sister Alice Karchenes and a brother Thomas. Tony is also survived by his sister-in-laws Alma Arsenault (late Henry), Ezella Hachey, Murielle Doucet (late Stanley) and Noella Kydd (Don); and his many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. We would like to express our most heartfelt thank you to Lynn and Clétus Boudreau who stood by us day and night through everything. There are no words for the support you provided. Our family would also like to thank the staff of Acadie-Bathurst Health Authority (Cardiac and Palliative Care Units) for the kindness, tenderness and excellent care they showed us through this difficult time. There will be no visitation or Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Spring. Donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favourite charity.
