Bathurst - It is with great regret that the family announces the passing of Inez Grebenc of Bathurst, just short of her 80th birthday. After a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease, Inez succumbed to the disease on Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Brockville, ON, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Florence (Smith) Kelly.
Inez, a graduate Nurse, was married to her husband, Frank, for more the 55 years and mothered three sons and three daughters:

Inez also leaves eight grandchildren, two step-granddaughters and a great-step-granddaughter.
Besides mothering a family of six children, she was active in the Girl Guide movement for many years, serving as District Leader for a couple of terms. She has been active in the Holy Family Parish, served on the Parish Council and was an avid Catholic Women's League member for more then 50 years, serving a term as President of Holy Family Council and subsequently on the Diocesan Council. Inez volunteered in many community organization, but her favourite was working with the hospital Pastoral Care Team.
Inez friends will remember her as being a giving person and a person of wit. Not very often anyone knew of any personal problems she had because she projected a happy outward image.
The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care team and to the four wonderful caregivers who helped attend Inez during her illness.
The body will rest after 7 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (March 20, 2010) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Inez may be made to the Parkinson Society or a favorite charity.
