Yvon Comeau
1931-2010
Surrounded by his loved ones, Yvon Comeau suddenly past away on Thursday May 6, 2010 at his home in Beresford at the age of 79. He was born and lived in Beresford and was the son of late Émile and late Alice (Boudreau) Comeau.
He is survived by is loving wife of 51 years Délima (Arseneau) Comeau; four daughters : Ginette (Aurèle Bertin) of Dunlop, Diane still at home, Denise (Rhéal Lavigne) of Beresford and Louise (Jean Breau) of Memramcook; three sons : Léo (Janice) of Petawawa ON, Gilles (Sandra) of Beresford and Denis (Laurie-Ann) of Dunlop; 8 grand-children who loved him dearly : Sonia, Sophie, Gabrielle, Sylvain, Rachel, Nathan, Brandon and Tyler; three brothers : Alyre of Laplante, Armand “Miquette” (Edna) of Belledune, Lionel (Francine) of Beresford; four sisters : Ledwina “Mina” (Alban Aubie) of Beresford, Jeanette (late Leonard Doucet) of Bathurst, Viola “Tobi” (Paul Bertin) of Montréal, Thelma (Léo Bertin) of Beresford; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Four brothers pre-deceased him: Paul-Émile “Ti-Paul”, Amédée “Médé”, Normand, et Médor (as a child) and a sister Laurence (as a child).
He worked for 24 years at Brunswick Mines where he made some long lasting friendships that he maintained well past his retirement in 1991. His passion for harvests and farming kept him busy while he had his good health. He will be missed by his friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Monday May 10, 2010 at 2 :00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage), Beresford.
Funeral will be celebrated Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 4 :00 p.m. at Eglise St-Nom de Jésus of Beresford.
In memory of Yvon, donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favourite charity will be appreciated by the family.
Visitation are Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 until time of funeral.
