We wish to announce the death of Mary Agnes Pitre (nee Rioux) which occurred July 23, 2010 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
She was predeceased by her husband J. Eric Pitre, her brothers Aurele, Paul, John, Richard and her sisters Pauline (Ligouri Doucet), and Yvonne (John McAllar).
She is survived by her son John, daughter Nicole and the love of her life, her grandson, Jason (Angie Boudreau), her sisters in Bathurst; Theresa (Roland Parker), Annette (Louis Aube) and Elzire (Leo Belliveau) of Moncton. Also her brothers Roland (Connie) of Halifax, Napoleon (Zita) of Moncton and Cleo (Evelyn) of P.E.I. along with many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was an independent woman working most of her younger years at NBTel, Tower Jewellers and as a secretary at Dentist Philippe Cyr’s office.
She loved her home on Varrily Street and had a difficult time giving it up two years ago. She then moved to Millhaven Court with other seniors and enjoyed her time there.
Arrangements are being made by Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com). There will be no visiting hours at the Funeral Home however a memorial mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church July 27th at 2:00p.m and a reception to follow in the church hall.
Donations can be made to the Bathurst SPCA or to a charity of your own choice.
