Bathurst – Ronald “Ron” Ellis, 79, formerly of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (October 20, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late Harold and Emma Jean (Miller) Ellis.

He was retired from the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill.

Besides his wife, Margaret (Sherren), he is survived by:

One son; Terrence “Terry” of Bathurst.  One daughter; Donna Lynn Ellis of Bathurst.  One brother; Greg (Lois) of Belleville, ON.  One sister; Cora Lindsay of Bathurst.  2 grandchildren; David and Kayleigh.  1 great-grandson; Ayden.  Several nieces and nephews.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. Friday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday (October 23, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Ron may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favourite charity.  Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9.
