Carmel Furlotte - 77, of Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, formerly of Big River, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Hurley) Hussey.
 
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
 
She was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Irish Society.
 
She is survived by her husband Walter.
 
One son:  Stephen wife Heather of Big River; One daughter:  Lisa Furlotte (Steven Boudreau) of Big River;
 
She was predeceased by two sisters,  Helen Carter and Loretta Doucet;  two brothers, Cletus and Hurley.                              
 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St., Bathurst and on Friday from 9 AM until time of funeral.  (www.elhatton.com)  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, October 29, 2010 from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrews St.  Donations in memory of Carmel may be made to Palliative Care at the Chaleur Regional Hospital or the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
