Jean-Marc LeBlanc (Johnny) passed away suddenly on Monday, November 1st 2010 at the age of 75, surrounded by his family, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
Born in Atholville, he was the son of the late Adelard and Lucie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
He is survived by his wife, Yvette Hachey-LeBlanc; three daughters, Rachelle (Maurice Doucet) of Middle River, Joanne (Michael Arseneau) and Gisèle (Alvin Pitre) of Robertville; 6 grandchildren, Danica & Melanie Doucet, Melissa Gail and Timmy Arseneau, Julie and Gino Pitre; 3 great-grandchildren, Janie and Joel Pitre and Myriam Roy; five brothers, Emery (Marion Blanchard), Charles (Mai Frenette), Paul Emile (late Rita Bossé), Léonard (Jeannine Bossé), Gildard (Pauline St-Laurent); three sisters, Laura (Ernest Gallant), Hermine (feu John Besner), Lorraine (Emilien Boissonneault). A special sister-in-law, Gertrude LeBlanc.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Rev. Gervais LeBlanc, Aurèle, Henri, Léonda and a sister, Fernande.
Jean-Marc was retired from sales & services since 2003, after a 40 years career. He was well known in the public sector. He loved to play his keyboard for the sick and shut-ins and walking at the KC Irving was a daily activity. He was a man of great faith and good values and was also a member of UCT and Knight of Columbus for many many years.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.wlhatton.com) in Bathurst, Thursday, November 4 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Funeral mass will be celebrated in his memory at Holy Rosary Church Friday, November 5 2010 at 4 pm.
Donations may be made in his memory at Hearth and Stroke Foundation or at the Chaleur Palliative Unit.
