Bathurst – Mrs. Sylvia Vienneau, wife of the late Aurèle Vienneau (1999), of the Villa Sormany and formerly of East Bathurst, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday (November 21, 2010), the day of her 91st birthday,
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucie (Chamberlain) Chamberlain.
She is survived by: Three sons; Ronald, Gérard (Lisette) both of Bathurst, Paul (Anne Hélène) of Montréal. Two daughters; Edna (Robert Gauvin) and Annette (Gilbert Glazier) both of Beresford.
11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Five sisters; Edna de Beresford, Rita (late Wayne) of Ontario, Jeanne (Clovis) de Bathurst, Hazel of Bathurst and Lauza (Gerry) of Ontario. Two brother; Théophile (Barbara) and Léonard (Suzan) both of Ontario.
Sister-in-law; Doris (late Adrien Doucet) of Robertville, several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a brother; Adrien, and 2 grandchildren in infancy.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the employees of the Villa Sormany who gave her such special care during her last 3 years of life.
Visitations were held at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday (November 24, 2010) at 4:30 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
Donation in memory of Mrs. Vienneau may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
