Bathurst - Mrs. Gérarda Roy, 85, wife of Charles Roy, of Bathurst and formerly of Allardville, passed away on Saturday (November 27, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late John and Laurette (Doiron) Lanteigne.
She was a Teacher for over 35 years and was a member of the SERF and CURSIO.

Two daughters; Charline Murty (Mike) of North Tetagouche, Denise Roy-Plourde (Gilbert) of Allardville. Three sons; Marcel (Claudine) and Benoit (Joanne) both of Allardville, Gérard (Julienne) of Bathurst. 11 grandchildren; Sandra, Jason, Sébastien, Martine, Serge, Sophie, Marilyne, Marie-Josée, Jacinthe, Richard, Karine, 6 great-grandchildren; Kayla, Alexandra, Jean-Samuel, Xavier, Louis-Felix and Mylianne.
Two brothers; Ephrem Lanteigne (Rita) of Allardville and Ulysse Lanteigne (Marie) of Riverview. Several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She was pre-deceased by a grandson; Mark, 1 sister; Anne Marie, 2 brothers; Alban and Stéphane.
Visitation are at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (December 1, 2010) at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral.
