It is with great sadness, that I, Thérèse Blanchard, wish to announce the death of my loving husband, Arsitide Blanchard, which occurred Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 62. Born in Caraquet, November 15, 1948, he was the son of Estelle Savoie of Caraquet, N.B. and the late Emile G. Blanchard.
Beside his wife and his mother, he leaves with sadness, his adoring children, his daughter, France and his son, Robert Blanchard; his daughter-in-law, Rachelle; his grandchildren whom he loved, Maria, Julie and his “rejeton”, Benoit-Emile Blanchard all of Beresford; his sister, Sylvie (Michel Chiasson); his brothers, René (Ginette Vienneau), Achille (Jeannette Robichaud) and Serge; his wife’s parents, in-laws, Nicholas and Lina Godin; also numerous, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by one brother, Marcel.
Aristide was employee at Xstrata Mines (formerly Brunswick Mines) for more than 35 years until his retirement, he was also a volunteer fireman in Beresford for 35 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus, council 8189, Beresford and council 2203, 4th degree, Beresford.
Visitation for Aristide Blanchard will be on Sunday December 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home (mfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday December 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford. Visiting hours: Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 until time of funeral.
In memory of Aristide, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carrefour Etudiant of Beresford for the lunch program for children in need, would be appreciated, thank you.
