Bathurst - Andrew "Andy" Wilt, 81, of Centennial St., Bathurst passed away on Tuesday (January 18, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
 
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dora (Matchett) Wilt.
 
He was retired from Central and Eastern Trust as Assistant Manager, Charter member of the U.C.T., Council #827, Bathurst, was the Treasure for local Canadian Cancer Society, he was also involved with the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Arthritis Society.
 
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
 
Besides his wife, Claire (Poirier) Wilt, he is survived by three children; Chris of Bathurst, Debbie Daigle (Yves) of Bathurst and Brenda Smith (Floyd)of South Tetagouche.
Four grandchildren; Raymond, René, Julie and Allison.
Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
 
The body will rest after 7 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (January 22, 2011) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
