BATHURST – Patrick Charron, 102, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.
Born in St. Clement Rivière du Loup, QC, he was the son of the late Michel and Anais (Santerre) Charron.
Patrick and his wife owned and operated for many years a Tourist Home in Bathurst and later added a Take Out service, where many enjoyed their delicious meals and warm hospitality.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Lina (Godin) Charron in 2005.
He is survived by: Four sons; Fernand (Donna Lee) of Bathurst , Marcel of Nepisiguit Falls, Raymond (Doris Watson) of Kitchener, ON and Jacques of Petit Rocher. Four daughters; Lorette Boudreau (late Lorenzo) of Bathurst , Fernande Theriault (Pierre) of Fredericton, Jeannine Dumas (Moise) of P. E. I. and Janette Power (Allie) of North Tetagouche. One brother; Joseph "Joe" (late Dorilda Hébert) (Annette Cormier) of Maria, QC. Three sisters; Ida Beland (Raymond) and Leanne Genereux (late Paul) both of Montreal, QC and Marie Bujold (late Léonard) of Quebec, QC. 13 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by an infant daughter, Raymonde and an infant son Roger, 2 brothers; Arthur and Jean, 5 sisters; Delida, Diana, Alice, Rose and Gracia. He will be deeply missed by family and loved ones.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday, February 26, 2011 from Our Lady of the Rosary church with Mass presided over by Reverend Wesley Wade. Relatives and friends are invited to join Mr. Charron's family for a reception immediately following the Mass in the lower level church hall.
