Bathurst - Mrs. Jean Marie Cousens, 91, wife of the late Kingsley Earls Cousens, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Bathurst and Oakville, ON, passed away on Wednesday (March 2, 2011) at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late George and Bride (Miller) Schultz.
She was a former employee of Ontario Hydro.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Kingsley Earls Cousens and is survived by: One daughter; Jean Frances Cousens (Richard Mann) of Bathurst. One son; Kingsley John Cousens (Marg) of Brantford, ON. One brother; Reverend Father Russell Schultz of Montreal, QC. 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.
She was pre-deceased by a daughter; Ann Marguerite Campbell, 1 brother; Gerald and 2 sisters; Winnifred and Marge.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, the Miramichi Regional Hospital and Dr. Losier for their care.
There will be a prayer service on Saturday afternoon (March 5, 2011) at 4 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Burial will be in Oakville in the spring.
