Allardville – Roméo Thériault, 99, of Allardville and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Monday (April 4, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Anse Bleu, he was the son of the late Patrick and Marie-Louise (Thériault) Thériault.
He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and Europe. He was member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was retired from the Corp of Commissionaire for the City of Bathurst.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Priscilla (Hachey) Thériault, daughter, Monica and a grandson, André (April 2nd, 2011).
He is survived by: Five sons, Jimmy (Suzanne), Daniel (Ellen), John (Karen) all of Bathurst, Pierre (Thérèse) of Edmonton, AB, Roger (Dorice) of Anse Blue, NB; four daughters, Lucie Thériault of Bathurst, Priscilla Harrisson (Fred) and Pauline Brideau (Marven) both of Allarville, Agnès Paradis (Denis) of Moncton; one brother, Benoit of Montreal, QC. 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning (April 8, 2011) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hour are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
