Bathurst - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Helen Good announce her death on Monday (April 11, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Terrence and Helen (Doucet) Lynch and would have celebrated her 84th birthday this August.
In 1952, she married Purdy Good and together they settled in Big River and raised a family. She enjoyed music and loved to dance. She and Purdy took dance lessons and Saturday night dances at the Legion were something they both looked forward to.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Purdy and her two daughters: Maureen Neumann (Mike) of Kingston, ON and Colleen Cormier (Renald) of Bathurst; 4 grandchildren: Amy Neumann, Matthew Neumann, Kelly Cormier and Melissa Cormier; 4 great-grandchildren: Damian, Noah, Danika and Presley.
She was pre-deceased by her only sibling, Bill Lynch in February of this year and is mourned by his family, sister-in-law, Della; nieces: Janet (Doug Steeves), Karen (Dave Finley), Laura (Danny Corkum) and nephew Andrew (Noella Grosse).
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday morning (April 16, 2011) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, with Father Gregory Culligan officiating. Donations in memory Helen may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.
