Barbara Ann Smyth - 64, of South Tetagouche, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of Emily (Ellis) Good of Rough Waters and the late Thomas Good.
She worked at Parkwood Heights Elementary School for 25 years in the cafeteria.
She is survived by her husband Hugh.
One son, Leslie (Tammie) of Charlottetown, P.E.I.,
two daughters, Wanda McLaughlin (Danny) of Cornwall, P.E.I.,
Brenda Vibert (Robert) of Fredericton, N.B.,
Six grandchildren;
four sisters, her twin Carol Sealy (Murray) of Gloucester Junction,
Glenda Cormier (Maurice) of South Tetagouche,
Irene Pitre (Albany) of Gloucester Junction,
Margaret Cyr (Albany Daigle) of South Tetagouche.
She was predeceased by her father and her brother Gordon.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Elhatton's funeral home, 187 St. George St., Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com) Funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon (April 29, 2011) at 2:30 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick Street.
