Bathurst - Percy Robichaud, 86, of Dawson Cres., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (May 6, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Shippagan, he was the son of the late Emile and Josephine (Mazerolle) Robichaud.
He was a former employee of CNR, Brunswick Mines and also as a custodian in local schools.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Rita Pitre. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (Gauthier) Robichaud.
Two sons, Jean-Claude (Lona) of Bathurst, Paul (Dany) of Montreal, Que., two daughters, Jeanne Boudreau (Maurice) of Petit-Rocher Nord, Paula Bujold (René) of Madran; one sister, Ester Robichaud of Oshawa, Ont., 10 grandchildren, Luc, Nathalie, Rachelle, Christine, Julie, Marc, Mathieu, Anne-Marie, Philippe and Valerie, 3 great-grandchildren, Audrey-Anne, Sky and Michaela. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a sons, Jean, Norbert; sisters, Ella, Emilienne; brothers, Ernest and Albain.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon May 10, 2011 at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst. Donation in memory of Percy may be made to the NB Lung Association or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
