Derek Teddy Fraser, of Red Deer, Alberta and formerly of Pabineau First Nation, passed accidentally on Sunday, August 21, 2011 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 32.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Teddy Hachey of Bathurst and Carolyn Fraser of Pabineau First Nation.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his three children; Dylan Fraser, Katelyn Fraser both of Grand Falls and Alyssa Lagacé of Beresford. One brother; Matthew of Bathurst. Five sisters; Stacey Fraser and Jennifer Fraser both of Bathurst, Tawny (Randy) Lavigne of Red Deer, Alberta, Bobbi-Jo Fraser and Lindsay Fraser both of Moncton. Paternal grand-parents, Eleanor and Leonard Hachey of Bathurst. Three nephews and four nieces.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday afternoon (August 29, 2011) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Derek may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A reception will follow at the Band Hall at Pabineau First Nation.
