Mrs. Bridget M. Eddy of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of South Tetagouche, passed away on Sunday (December 18, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd in 1978.
Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Daigle) Gauthier.
She will be greatly missed by her nine children: Gail (Ivan) Chiasson and Frederick (Emerald) both of Bathurst, Alice Eddy of Fredericton, Shirley (Vic) Tuinenga of Redwood Meadows, Alta., Pauline Eddy of Bathurst, Trish (Jim) Eddy-Wright of Kelowna, B.C., Phyllis (Terry) Hochstetter of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Ralph (Wanda) and Elgin (Gail) both of Rose Hill, N.B.,
fifteen grandchildren: Lynn, Lillian, Shirley, Kathleen, Ace, Crystal, Kevin, Mark, Kayla, Sara, Anna, Bryce, Kyle, Catherine and Jonathan;
two great-grandchildren: Kelly and Lukas;
three sisters: Janette Pitre of Bathurst, Lydia Langille of Massachusetts, U.S., and Dorina (Paul) Henry of Bathurst;
two brothers: Ronnie of Nova Scotia and Danny of Trenton, Ont.
She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Alyre, Felix, Aurele; 2 sisters: Cecile Gallant, Annie Guitard and a grandson, Jerry Chiasson.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday morning (December 22, 2011) at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Bridget may be made to the Diabetic Society or a favorite charity.
