1940 - 2011

Beresford - Gregory W. Lomas, 71, of Beresford, passed away on Thursday (December 29, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Boutilier) Lomas.

Besides his wife, Rita (LeBlanc) Lomas, he is survived by two daughters: Geralyn Levandier (Doug) of Lincoln, NB and Mary-Anne Schroer of Nepean, ON. One brother, Calvin (Ina) of Dartmouth, NS. Four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and one niece.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Robert and Jack.

By request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private graveside service will be held in the spring. Donations in memory of Gregory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Chaleur Regional Hospital Extra Mural Program or a favorite charity.
