Bathurst – Aldin Gauthier 82, of Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (March 22, 2012) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Thomas and Rose (Gauthier) Gauthier.

He is survived by his eight daughters:

Patsy Gauthier (Bob) of Moncton, Ginette Gauthier, Yvette Gauthier, Evangeline Ross (Brian), Monique Gauthier (Alyre), Juliette Caissie (Maurice), Stephanie Pitre (Remi), Chantal Lagacy (Guy) all of Bathurst;

five sons: Edward Gauthier,  Raymond Gauthier (Mireille),  Ronald Gauthier, Remi Chiasson (Kelley) all of Bathurst,  Eric Legacy of Ontario.

Thirty three grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;

one brother, Albanie Gauthier (Simone) of Bathurst;

one sister, Edna Dickenson (Kenneth) of Halifax, N.S.

He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Pitre) Gauthier, two sons: Lawrence, Chesley; two daughters: Macrina Pitre and Diane Legacy; a grandchild, Todd; two brothers: Clifford and Gerald, and one sister, Rose.

Visitations will be held on after 1 p.m. Monday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, from where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.
