1930 – 2012

Bathurst - Alvin Lavigne, husband of Leona (Guignard) Lavigne of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, on Thursday May 24th, 2012 at the age of 82.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the the late Richard  and the late Vina (Chiasson) Lavigne.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Arthur Lavigne of Alberta.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alvin was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Herman J. Good, VC Branch 18 in Bathurst.

He was predeceased by a sister, Bertha.

There were no visitations at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 29th at 11:00 am from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. in Bathurst

Donations in Memory of Alvin maybe made to the Royal Canadian Legion, the CCB (The Canadian Council for the Blind) or a favorite charity.
