Toronto, Ontario – William "Billy" Gray of Toronto, originally of Bathurst NB passed away at his home on Saturday, December 5, 2011 after failing health as a result of diabetes, at the age of 54.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert Joseph and Mary Anne (Hachey) Gray.
Billy was the youngest son of the family. He is survived by one daughter, Tanya Pitre of Bathurst; three brothers: Vincent, Gerry both of Sault St. Marie, Ont., and John of Bathurst; six sisters: Dorothy Upton of Haliburton, Ont., Emily Laitinen of Sault St. Marie, Ont., Veronica Chamberlain of Oshawa, Ont., Patricia Pitre, Stella Legacy and Carole Wong all of Bathurst.
As well as his immediate family, Billy is survived by many nieces and nephews. One special niece, who saw to his every need, was Michelle Pitre for which we are all grateful.
As well as his father and mother, Billy was predeceased by a sister, Betty St. Jules and two brothers: Donald and Clarence (Timmy) Gray.
There will be no visitation at the funeral Home.
A private grave side committal service will be held on Monday August 13, 2012 at 2 pm at Sacred Heart Cemetery, King Ave, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Billy may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
