Bathurst - David Holmes, 66, of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (October 17, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Ramsay) Holmes.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette (Roy) Holmes.

Two sons; Bruce of Halifax, NS and Blair of Moncton. One daughter; Bonnie Boudreau (Kurt) of Moncton. One brother; George Holmes of Clifton. One sister; Amy Scott (Sherwood) of Clifton.

Seven grandchildren; Patrick, McKenzie, Colin, Evie, David, Paul and Trinity.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (October 19, 2012) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in memory of David may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
