Bathurst - Jacques P. St-Onge, 71, of Vantassel St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (November 29, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, born in Edmundston, he was the son of the late Pio and Annette (Lavoie) St-Onge.

Besides his loving wife, Elizabeth (Fife) St-Onge, he is survived by his sisters: Jacqueline of Edmundston (late Onil Clavet), Marguerite  of Van Buren, Maine (Phillip Parent).

His brothers: Gilbert of Edmundston (Jacqueline Lavoie), Robert of Fredericton (Aline Côté), Claude of Gatineau (Danielle Couture).

His sisters in law: Connie et Gloria Fife of Montréal and Lily Guay of Edmundston and many nieces and nephews .

He was a  Federal civil servant, retiring in  1994, he was a 3rd Degree member of Bathurst Council 1935 Knights of Columbus; former president of the administration council of Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes of Bathurst and an active member of it’s foundation.   

The family will receive relatives and friends after 7 p.m. Friday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), 187 rue St.-George, Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (December 1, 2012) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. 

Donations in memory of Jacques may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.

The family would like to thank the personnel of the Extra Mural Program in Bathurst and the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their excellent care during his illness.
