Tetagouche Falls, N.B. - Alphee Roy, 82, of Tetagouche Falls, passed away on Saturday (December 15, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Ste-Thérèse, he was the son of the late Adelard and Christiane (Daigle) Roy.
He worked in Mining and Mining Exploration for most of his life.
Besides his wife, Marie Blanche (Comeau) Roy, he is survived by six sons: Emmanuel (Carol Ann) of Peterborough, ON, Francois (Nicole Pitre) of Bathurst, Reginald (Nicole) of Moncton, Donald (Jackie) and Levi (Cheryl) both of South Tetagouche and Steeve (Stephanie) of Middle River.
One daughter, Marie Calnan (Mike) of Middle River. 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
One brother, Arthur Roy (Anna) of Montreal.
Four sisters: Edwidge Arseneau of Beresford, Amanda Aubie of Robertville, Eveline Roy (Yvon) and Yvonne LaCroix both of Montreal. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Jean Marie; 6 brothers, Normand, Omer, Jean, Wilfred, Livain, Emery and a sister, Régina.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (December 18, 2012) at 4 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Alphee may be made to New Brunswick Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
