Beresford – It is with great sadness, that we the family announce the death of Fred Guignard, 82, of Beresford, which occurred Wednesday (January 23, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Allardville, he was the son of the late James « Jim » and Catherine (Chiasson) Guignard.
He worked as a Boilermaker for most of his life.
He is survived by his spouse, Laurinda (Boudreau) Godin of Beresford.
Three children: Bryan (Pam) of Ottawa, Harold of Alberta, Nancy Alice Chiasson (Yvon) of Lamèque.
Six grandchildren: Evelyne, Ely, Myra, Cynthia Anny, Isabella Grace, and Anna Gabrielle.
Four brothers: August (Betty) of Toronto, Ont., Sylvio and Louis both of Bathurst, Benny (Monique) of Nigadoo.
Two sisters: Albertine Duguay (Pierre) of Petit-Rocher and Adrienne Lew (Tommy) of Detroit, U.S.A., several nieces and nephews.
Sister in-law Rosa Guignard of Beresford. Brother-in-law Léon Frenette of Petit-Rocher. The mother of his children Annette Guignard of Bathurst.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers: André, Alphonse, Roger and a sister, Jeanne.
Funeral Mass will celebrated on Saturday morning (January 26, 2013) at 11:30 a.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford.
Donations in memory of Fred may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.
