Bathurst ? R. Reid 'Mac' McLauchlan, 79, of St. Luke Ct., Bathurst, which occurred Wednesday (October 20, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, following a period of illness.
Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Alexander and Amanda (Doyle) McLauchlan.
He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army Carleton York Regiment in Canada and overseas. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked as a printer for the Northern Light for many years.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family received relatives and friends at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday morning (October 23, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
