1922 – 2015

Bathurst - Mrs. Martha Doucet, 92, wife of the late Albert Doucet, formerly of Garden St., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday January 7, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rita (Vallée) Chiasson.

She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women’s League, Bathurst.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Doucet in 1989.

She is survived by five children:  Linda Lavigne (Charles), Blanche Causey (Beverly), Albert Doucet (Anne Marie) all of Bathurst, Mario Doucet (Debbie Hébert) of Moncton and Janet Doucet of Brampton, Ont.

Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Three brothers: Dennis Chiasson of Ottawa, Ont., Alfred Chiasson of Bathurst and Arthur Chiasson (Vivian) of Saint John.  Several nieces and nephews.

Beside her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Albertine Doucet Roy.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be held on Monday January 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Martha may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
