1936 – 2015

Bathurst - Lorena Barclay, 79 of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Belledune, she was the daughter of the late John Guitard and Stella Legacé.

Besides her husband, George Barclay, she is survived by eight children:  Don (France) of Gaspé, Que., Ellen (Mark) of Chesley, Ont., Patty (Vanessa) of Toronto, Ont., Denise of Nanaimo, B.C., Robert (Carole) of Beresford, Ken of Toronto, Ont., Paul of Stratford, Ont. and Theresa (David) of Burlington, Ont.

Twelve grandchildren:  Alexandre, Olivier, Tom, Michael, Michelle, Sebastien, Gabriel, Andrew, Scott, Noah, Kennedy and Kieren; two great grandchildren:  Savanah and Aiden.

Four sisters:  Edna Willis of Lethbridge, Alta., Doris Flanagan of Toronto, Ont., Nicole Clair of Bathurst and Muriel Guitard of Lethbridge, Ont. 

One brother, Jacques Guitard of Pointe-Verte.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers: Philippe and Guy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11 am from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Lorena may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
