1936 – 2016

Petit-Rocher - Louis Guignard, 80, of Petit-Rocher, passed away on Saturday July 30, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Allardville, he was the son of the late Alexandre Guignard and Lina Gionet.

He is survived by his common-law spouse, Agathe Smith and his children: Ginette Richard (Gérard), Simon (Yvonne Blanchard), his grandchildren:  Isabelle, Rachelle, Jessica, Justin and Mia.  His great-grandchildren: Mia, Paxton and Damien.  Daughter-in-law, Lise Guignard.

The children of his common-law spouse: Yolande Gagnon (Louis), Claudette Cormier (Victor) and Carmen Smith, and her grandchildren: Monica, Véronique, Zoé, Francis, Justin and Jessy.

His brothers and sisters whom he loved deeply: Raymond (Hélène), Victor, Ronald (Fernande), Ovide (Célestine) and Alvin (Raymonde). Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a son, Normand, two brothers, Raoul, Armand, a sister, Murielle and his spouse`s son, Michel.

Louis was a member of the Golden Age Clubs in Pointe-Verte and Petit-Rocher.  He loved playing cards with relatives and friends.  He loved you all.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 3, 2016, at 4 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford.  Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral.  Donations in memory of Louis may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
