It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Brigitte Lavigne, wife of Doran Lavigne, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the age of 78.  Born in Nicholas Denys, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Cécile (Boudreau) Vienneau. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children:  Dean (Tara) of Moncton, Michael (Debbie) of Beresford, Diane Boudreau (Roger), Keith (Monique) and Blair all of Riverview, Danny (Brenda) and Vanessa Abernathy (Matthew) both of Bathurst.

Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ten sisters: Evangeline Haché, Angelina Thibeault, Anita Pitre and Yvette Gauthier all of Bathurst, Marie-Anne Boucher of LaPlante, Claudia Landry of Pointe-Verte, Régina Couture (Armand) of Beresford, Lise Roy (Jacques) of Pointe-Verte, Marie-Jeanne Imhoff and Rose-Marie Pitre.

Two brothers: Claude Vienneau (Barbara) of Ontario and Robert (Kate) of Miramichi.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters; Annette and Roberta.

Brigitte was known to be a very loving and caring mother to her children, grandchildren and people whom she encountered throughout her life.  She was an excellent cook, making sure that all her guests were warmly welcomed in her home.

She loved the outdoors, especially spending time at her cabin on the homestead, which in her heart was a piece of paradise.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held Friday, January 19th, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel.
