It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Herbert Hills announce his passing. Husband of the late Lois (Daley) Hills, he went home to his Maker on April 15, 2018, peacefully, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 90 years old.
Born in Bathurst he was the oldest son of the late Carl and Inez (Jagoe) Hills.
He is survived by his two daughters Sharon (Maurice) Lavigne and Ellen (Daniel) Theriault.
He is also survived by three sons Terry (Susan), Francis, and Richard.
He is sadly leaving behind his 9 grandchildren: Jeremy (Rosemary), Jeffrey, Jonathon (Lisa), Jason (Cheryl), Tanya, Jennifer (Nathan), Robin (Amanda), Craig and Matthew. Also 12 great-grandchildren Lily, Logan, Lane, Marin, Ava, Tessa, Charlotte, Harper, Ashton, Caleb, Elijah, and Grace.
He is also survived two sisters, Thelma and Betty (Cliff Boyer) and one brother Thomas (Connie). A sister-in-law Sybil Hills. Also survived by a loving friend Leona Noel.
Daughter-in-law Joanne Nickum.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Lois and his son Harold Elmer Robert. Also, by Robert Hills and Joyce (Hills) Filmore.
There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be at St. George’s Anglican Church on Wednesday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m.
Donation in memory of Charles may be made to St. George Anglican Church General Fund or to a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
