Rénald Hébert, of Notre Dame Street, Bathurst, passed away suddenly at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the age of 94.
Born in Shippagan, he was the son of the late Gervais Hébert and the late Anna Paquet.
Besides his wife Angélie (Chiasson) Hébert, he leaves behind three children: Jocelyne, Jacques, of Bathurst and Fernand (Charline Gaudet) of Dieppe.
Two grandchildren Julien and Véronique.
As well as his sister Léonie Schnur (Larry)of Florida, USA.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Edna, Gratia, his brother Albert as well as his half-brothers and half-sisters.
Rénald had a career in aviation prior to working for the Federal Government for 35 years. He never missed a Sunday mass and was a longtime member of the Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire choir.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
The family will receive family and friends after 2pm on Friday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com). Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 21st at 10 am from Holy Rosary Church, Bathurst.
