Our mother loved life and was very active. She walked the Ottawa Half-Marathon on three occasions. She could be seen walking around Bathurst in all types of weather as she prepared for this challenge. Her pastime included gardening and she took great pride in her beautiful flower beds. Playing cards every week kept her busy with her card buddies. She was also active in the local bowling league and CWL and loved watching Curling and her Blue Jays on TV. No-one loved Christmas more than our mom. Her house was always beautifully decorated in her Snowman theme.
We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone that visited and brought meals to the house during this difficult time. The Extramural care and Palliative Care that was provided was exemplary. Special thanks to Extramural Nurse Danielle and all the other nurses who were so caring to our mother. Dr. Wade came to our mother’s home on a regular basis and we certainly appreciate his caring manner. Special thoughts also go out to Father David Ferguson who took time out of his busy schedule to come to the house to visit our mom.
