It is with great sadness the family of Rodrigue "Rocky" Boudreau of South Tetagouche, announces his passing on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his residence, with family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Rocky was 81 years old.
Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Jerome and Clothilde (Aube) Boudreau.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Yvonne (Chamberlain) Boudreau. One daughter, Terry-Lynn Gray (Mike) of Fredericton, NB and a grandson, Greyson.
Six siblings: Mona Roy (Roger) of Ottawa, ON, Marguerite Rose Dugas (Roger) of Sainte-Louise, NB, Edwidge Vienneau, Joseph (Réjeanne), Guy (Irène) and Rina Arseneau (Rodrigue) all of Beresford, NB.
Rocky was truly a "jack of all trades" having had careers as a pilot, mechanic, teacher of trades and fisherman. He was not happy unless he was tinkering with something or renovating his home. In the last few years the light of his life was his grandson, who could do no wrong in Grampy’s eyes.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2 pm from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave.
In memory of "Rocky" donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, NB.
