Angus Bertin, of Beresford, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday December 26, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 89 after a brief illness.
Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Alexandre and Laurina (Arseneau) Bertin.
He was a self-employed businessman in Beresford for over 45 years.
He is survived by three children: Annette (late Jean Godin), Nicole (Jean Claude Vienneau) both of Beresford and Donald (Louise Frenette) and Dunlop.
Six grandchildren: Patrick, Chantal, Stéphane, Martin, Mélanie and Josée. Three great-grandchildren: Emma, Cédric and Loïc. Several nieces and nephews.
Angus was pre-deceased by his wife, Lina (Morrison) Bertin and three sisters: Evelyne, Florence, Doris and four brothers: Léonard, Raymond, Clearance and Rhéal.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford on Wednesday January 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday January 3, from 2 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 3, 2019 at 4 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford.
Donations in memory of Angus may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a favorite charity.
