Bathurst - It is with heavy hearts, the family of Mrs. Anne Kenny, wife of Norval Kenny, formerly of Whelton Dr., Bathurst, passed away Saturday April 13, 2019, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 80.
Born in Winnipeg, MB, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Peggy (Halpenny) Sands.
Anne was a devoted wife and mother to her husband, Norval and two children: Michael of Bathurst and Barb Hanscom (Kelly) of Moncton. Loving grandmother to Katie and Kyle.
One sister, Pauline Rowe (Allan) of Winnipeg, MB. Several nieces and nephews.
Anne had a passion for cooking and gardening. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family, always serving delicious meals. She would spend many hours "fiddling" all summer long making her gardens beautiful. Anne was very proud of her many years she spent as a member of the Girl Guides of Canada and was a former member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
